The “Top of Brotherhood 2024” exercise is taking place at the Koktal training ground in the Zhetysu region. According to the plan of the head of the exercise, Commander of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of the

Republic of Kazakhstan, Major General Almaz Dzhumakeev, Kazakh and Belarusian paratroopers will operate as part of two combined units, performing a single combat mission.

“We have created all the conditions where there is no division between “us” and “them.” The participants of the exercise are placed in the same room, eat together, get acquainted with each other’s traditions and mentality. In such a situation, real coordination begins, the airborne brotherhood is born and strengthens,” emphasized Major General Almaz Dzhumakeev.

Before active operations, paratroopers from Polesye mastered the basics of mountain training. Training places were set up at the training ground. Instructors from the alpine companies of the Air Assault Forces of Kazakhstan introduced them to safety measures, mountain equipment, elements of equipment, the basics of insurance and self-insurance, knitting various knots, elements of descent, ascent and crossing over water obstacles. As part of the paramedic course, special attention was paid to self-help, first aid and transportation of the wounded in mountain conditions.

During survival lessons in mountainous areas, military personnel were introduced to options for constructing stoves from improvised materials, lighting a fire in various ways in the absence of incendiary objects, methods of disinfecting water and preparing food from local flora and fauna.

During practical training, combined groups of Kazakh and Belarusian paratroopers worked out elements of organizing and conducting a raid and ambush with live fire, and also became familiar with the tactical and technical characteristics of unmanned aerial vehicles in service with the Air Assault Forces of Kazakhstan, and the possibilities of their use in high altitude conditions.

Let us remind you that over 350 paratroopers from Kazakhstan and Belarus are taking part in the exercise. Its active phase will take place from July 17 to 19 of this year.
