He highlighted positive trends in the development of trade and economic relations, and emphasized the growing interest of German businesses in establishing a stronger presence in Kazakhstan.<\/p>\n<p>The President stressed that last year German direct investment in Kazakhstan increased by 64 per cent, reaching a record high of $770 million.<\/p>\n<p>At the meeting, special attention was paid to cooperation in the agricultural sector. In this context, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev recalled his proposal to establish a Regional Centre for Sustainable Agriculture in Kazakhstan.
