Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov within his working trip to Almaty region checked the fulfilment of the instructions of the Head of State. On the example of construction of a new school for 900 seats in Alatau city the pace of work on implementation of the Comfortable School National Project was checked, Phoenix-24 news agency reports.
The new educational facility, located on the area of 3 thousand m2, is planned to be put into operation by the end of this year. Today the foundation and monolithic frame have been completed. The school will be provided with the necessary engineering and communication infrastructure, equipped with the latest technologies in the field of construction and education.
Head of the Government emphasised the importance of quality construction work in due time.
A total of 369 schools are planned to be opened in Kazakhstan under the National Project in 2024-2025. In turn, 53 comfortable schools will be built in Almaty region in 2024-2025. This year it is planned to commission 26 comfortable schools with different capacity, from 600 to 1500 pupils.
According to the terms of the national project, all comfortable schools will be built according to a single standard with enhanced security measures, appropriate infrastructure and amenities for students and teachers.
Prime Minister instructed to accelerate the development and passing of state expertise of new projects and to keep strict control over compliance with the deadlines for commissioning of erected buildings.
“This is a megaproject of the President. We need strict control over the quality and timeliness of its implementation. The construction of comfortable schools is aimed at providing all conditions for our children to acquire quality knowledge. The Government has a task to introduce 740 thousand new pupil places by the end of 2025. It is necessary to ensure high rates of construction works,” Olzhas Bektenov emphasised.
